A Gourmet Kitchen on Garfield

Project

Our client is a gourmet chef and her home renovation needed to showcase a chef’s kitchen. The existing location cut the house in half so we rotated the kitchen and moved it to the front of the house. This allowed entry and exit from both the Foyer on one side and the Dining Room and side entry on the other.  The kitchen features durable quartz countertops and sleek, modern cabinetry, perfectly complemented by innovative pendant lighting over the island. ⁤⁤⁤⁤Key features include a creatively restructured kitchen with dual corner pantries and a window seat that cleverly incorporates storage. ⁤⁤ Refinished wood floors flow throughout the house connecting the rooms visually.  Just inside the side entry leading to a dining room is the Owner’s gardening room surrounded by large windows and glass shelving.  The dining room features a large window offering picturesque garden views. ⁤⁤The powder room dazzles with glass mosaic tiles and a thick marble countertop. ⁤⁤Additional luxury elements include a new wine cellar and built-in bar.  Upstairs in the main hallway we have incorporated a skylight at the top of the stairs bathes the interior in natural light, enhancing the spacious feel.  An architectural addition features a sophisticated primary bathroom with a built-in tub and separate steam shower upstairs. The laundry room was relocated and baths throughout the second floor redone.  On the exterior original iron handrails have been meticulously matched to preserve the home’s character and plaster moulding replicated, marrying historical charm with our total re-design.
